How it works
IQ scores follow a bell curve with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15 (Neisser et al., 1996). The calculator finds where your IQ sits on that curve and tells you the share of people below it.
A percentile is that share, out of 100. An IQ of 100 is the 50th percentile: half of people score higher, half lower. An IQ of 130 is the 98th percentile: higher than 98 of every 100 people.
